Segment 1 & 2 Package-July

Service Description

The listed per student price will include the complete Segment 1 and Segment 2 course. Each student who participates and successfully passes all Segment 1 requirements will be registered for the sequential Segment 2 course given the student is eligible for Segment 2. All students must be at least 14 years and 8 months of age by the 1st day of instruction to be eligible to participate in a Segment 1 course. (A birth certificate is needed for verification of birthday) To fulfill Segment 1 requirements: Whip Skillz Drivers Education will provide classroom instruction for a minimum of 24 hours, minimum 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and minimum 4 hours of in- vehicle instruction(student observation hours). Classroom instruction will not have a duration less than 3 weeks. Whip Skillz Drivers Education will conduct behind- the wheel instruction in a dual controlled automobile, fully insured, covering each student enrolled in the program. Behind-the-wheel instruction will not begin prior to completion of a minimum of 4 hours of classroom instruction. Behind-the-wheel instruction must be completed no later than 3 weeks following completion of classroom instruction. The student must participate and complete all in-class assignments and homework assignments satisfactorily. The student must pass the state test with a score no less than 70%. Attendance is critical to the student’s success. If the student misses a day of instruction, that day must be made up with the next Segment 1 course offered. Students are only allowed three makeup days for the duration of the program. Upon completion of all course requirements, a certificate of completion will be issued to each student. To fulfill Segment 2 requirements: Whip Skillz Drivers Education will provide classroom instruction for a minimum of 6 hours. Students are eligible to participate in a segment 2 course given the following criteria is met: Held level 1 license for a minimum of 90 days from the date it was issued at the Secretary of State and completed 30 supervised driving hours with 2 hours of night driving. (Driving log and Level 1 License must be presented on the 1st day of class)
